How to stop code execution has been interrupted <\/strong>error in Excel VBA.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

My Excel VBA Keeps Breaking: A “code execution has been interrupted” keeps coming up, but my Code is Not “Broken”<\/strong><\/p>\n

So I have to share this handy trick.\u00a0 Sometimes when I’m running VBA<\/strong> code in Excel<\/a>,\u00a0it starts getting wonky.\u00a0 The Break\/Debug window keeps popping up during execution, for no good reason.\u00a0 Code execution has been interrupted, over and over.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The code<\/a>\u00a0has run perfectly fine in the past, perhaps hundreds of times.\u00a0 It’s almost as if something is stuck and hanging in the background.\u00a0 Restarting Excel does no good.\u00a0 It seems that the VBA interface itself needs a reset, but clicking reset does nothing.<\/p>\n

Solution!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

When you receive the code execution has been interrupted pop-up,\u00a0 click Debug.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then press Ctrl+Pause\/Break <\/strong>twice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Click on the Green Arrow<\/strong> or press <\/strong>F5 <\/strong>to resume.<\/p>\n

You should be good to go, as long as there is nothing inherently wrong with your VBA code!<\/p>\n

I’m not sure how or why this works,but it does. I think there may be some sort of bug in Excel<\/a>, so hopefully it will be fixed at some point.\u00a0 I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me!\u00a0 Simple solutions sure are the best!<\/p>\n
