In this example we are attempting to work out how many staff we have at any one time.
The technique discussed here are relevant for when you have a table with multiple dates in it and you need to run logic through that table to work out if an employee is still a staff member at any period of time.
This is also the technique to use if you want to showcase staff numbers or growth through time.
We utilise the correct relationship technique and also the ‘events in progress’ pattern to get this all to work successfully in Power BI.
